Une reprise avec un personnage singulier.../A resumption with a singular character....

Bonjour,
je reprend  ici les parutions de mes dessins. j'ai enlevé mes ancienne productions que je trouvais trop peu aboutit il y a quelques mois.
Je vais tenter de me fixer un minimum de une illustration par mois, aboutit et complète.
En même temps, je me suis inscrit  sur Déviant Art ce qui vous permettra d'obtenir si vous le désirez un supports comportant un de ces dessins (et moi un premier émolument, même si je doute de gagner quoique ce soit).
Comme Avant, le blog est écrit en français (en noir) et en Anglais (en bleu).

I take back here the publications of my drawings. I removed my old productions which I found little accomplished a few months ago.
I am going to try to settle a minimum of an illustration a month.
At the same time, I joined the site "Deviant Art" what will allow you to obtain if you wish a support of one of these drawings (and I, a small reward even if I doubt to win anything).
As before, the blog is written in French (in black) and in English (in blue).

Mictlantecuhtli-Basket 

Pour une amie, fan de ce Dieu de la mort, j'ai fait ce petit travail d'étude, avec pour objectif d'avoir  un produit pouvant être mis sur un t-shirt ou tout autres supports décoratifs.

For a friend, a fan of this God of the death, I made this small work of study, with for objective to have a product which can be put on a T-shirt or ornamental supports.

Mictlantecuhtli est un dieu qui a des particularités physiques qui le déterminent visuellement: 

- Il est recouvert de sa peau qui est "momifié" sur lui d'ou sa couleur grise ou blanche de cadavre et un squelette apparent.

- Il porte les attributs d'un roi ou d'un chef, qu'on retrouve sous forme de couronne, de torque et de vêtements.

- Il est souvent représenté dévorant  une personnes ou un cœur. Ils porte aussi souvent une dague sacrificielle.

- Il porte des chaussures car cela démontre sa richesse et sa place dans la sociétè.

- Il porte sur certaines illustrations un crâne et des boucles d'oreilles fait de reste humain ( des mains notamment).

- Ses yeux sont rouges ou cerclés de rouge représentant l'agoni des victimes.

Mictlantecuhtli is a god who has physical peculiarities which determine him visually:

- He's covered with his skin, which is "mummified" on the bones.  His color is grey or white with a visible skeleton.

- He wears the attributes of king or leader, whom we find in the form of crown, of torc and of clothes.

- He'is often represented devouring a person or a heart. He wears so often a sacrificial dagger.

- He wears shoes because it demonstrates the wealth and its place in the society aztec.

- He wear on certain illustrations a skull and also earrings made by human rest (hands in particular).

- The eyes are red or encircled by  red representing the reviled of the victims.

Mictlantecuhtl est toujours en lien avec son opposé Quetzalcoatl (le "dieu de la vie"). la couleur des décoration de l'un servant pour l'autre.

Mictlantecuhtli's always in connection with his opposite Quetzalcoatl (the " god of the life "). The color of the decorations of the one serving for the other one.

Mictlantecuhtli est à gauche, en blanc. Quetzalcoatl en noir à droite.

Mictlantecuhtli is to the left, in white. Quetzalcoatl in black to the right.

Donc voici ma version de Mictlancuhtli, en basket car ça coûte un bras, une  bonne paire de basket. 

J'ai traité toutes les couleurs en aplat car les aztecs ne peignaient pas de profondeur. La  gamme chromatique est  aussi volontairement courte comme traditionnellement.

Thus here is my version of Mictlancuhtli, in sneaker because that costs an arm and a leg, a good pair of sneaker.

I handled all the colors with "aplat" because aztecs did not paint depth. The chromatic range is also voluntarily short as traditionally.
